The Go Downtown Kenosha Magazine talks w/ Tina Chatmon, co-owner of The Lettering Machine to find out what is going at TLM this holiday season.
Q. Do you have any special promotions or events planned for the upcoming holiday season?
A. We love to be involved with any of the events that go on Downtown that we can be. Keep an eye on the Downtown Kenosha magazine and the Visit Kenosha website for all the fun events they have planned!
Q. What are some of the most popular holiday products or services you offer?
A. We work with a lot of businesses that are looking for items to “gift” to their employees for the holiday season. So for them, they may choose a warm fleece, a cozy blanket, a fun t-shirt or even an ornament to commemorate being a part of their team.
Q. Are there any unique holiday traditions or customs associated with The Lettering Machine?
A. Every year we like to do something fun with our team. Whether it is an escape room, dinner or a fun gift exchange, we make sure to remove ourselves from the daily grind and focus on our bonds.
Q. Can you share a memorable holiday story or experience related to your business?
A. Besides the first year that we got a Christmas tree in the front of the shop and our customers came with ornaments to help decorate it, we would say the first year that we got to spend Christmas with our Rosemary!
Q. What is one of your favorite holiday memories? Or the best gift you’ve ever received?
A. We will be cheesy here and say our best gift and favorite memories are when our customers get excited to see their gift idea come to life. We also love to hear the stories of gift giving!
Q. Do you have any tips for finding the perfect holiday gift?
A. SHOP LOCAL. If you can’t find it in one shop, ask the owners. Most of the time they will have an idea of where you can find what you are looking for. We are tight knit and try to recommend each other to customers as much as we can.
Q. What are the best ways for customers to stay updated on your holiday hours and offerings?
A. We update our Google listing and make frequent posts on social media (Facebook and Instagram)
Q. What does your business have in store for 2024?
A. Look out for some revamping of the front showroom and new Kenosha designs coming your way! 
Q. What do you love about the holiday season in downtown Kenosha?
A. We love all the fun events that our city, businesses and organizations put on.
Q. Inquiring minds want to know, are you on the naughty or nice list?
A. Nice of course!!! We do our best to have the best customer service that we can offer and help in the community as much as we can!
